Prescription drug abuse is a hot topic in the media. After Micheal Jackson’s untimely death, the problems associated with celebrities and prescription drug abuse has come under the microscope. It is not only celebrities that abuse prescription drugs, but they do have the ability to visit as many doctors as they wish to get as many prescriptions as possible.
Few other people have the luxury of being able to afford so many doctor visits. There are also some doctors who are ready to say yes to almost any request from a celebrity. It is not until these celebrities go to a California drug treatment facility that they actually hear the word “no”.

Alcohol, along with prescription drugs, are seen as safer because they are legal and more readily available. Alcohol and prescription drugs are not safer, they an be just as addicting as heroin.

The overdose deaths of these famous celebrities in California are just as likely to happen to any person who abuses prescription drugs. Rehab is just as important for prescription drug abuse as it is for illegal drug abuse.
